Cyclist will start and finish at Burning Stones Plaza in central Copper Mountain Resort, Colorado. Amply stocked aid/rest stations will be positioned throughout the course. Upon returning from your ride, participants will be greeted by the “Alpine Celebration”. The post-ride party, with music, a first – class lunch, prize drawings and cycling expo will continue throughout the afternoon.

Ride Start Time

Please plan to start your ride between 5:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. ALL riders MUST be on the road by 8:00a.m. We encourage riders to begin early to avoid the traditional afternoon mountain thunderstorms and highway traffic. Colorado State Patrol will not allow anyone to start prior to first light (5:45 am) without both front and back lights on your bike.

Jersey & Packet Pick Up

If you did not choose to have your packet mailed to you, you can pick up your packet at Kokopeli Trail in the Copper Conference Center at Copper Mountain at the following times:

Friday August 5  – 4p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday August 6 – 5:30 a.m. – 8 a.m.

If your Jersey does not fit, you can, Subject to availability, exchange it at the event at the merchandise booth.  Please note that availability will be limited and so we can’t guarantee that all sizes will be available.

Packet Mailing

Ever wanted your packet before the event??? Well we can mail it! Mark the option when you register, However, you must choose this option by Thursday June 30th.

Packets will be mailed starting the first week of July. If you register on June 30th, packets will be mailed prior to the event.  We do have a process to get your packet mailed, so please be patient with us.  If you do not see your packet by July 25th, please contact us.


Copper Mountain has a number of restaurants in center village that will be open before the ride. Stop in for a hot cup of coffee and one of our freshly made breakfast sandwiches, pastries, or muffins to gear up for your ride


Expect temperatures to be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s at the start with normal daytime highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. Mountain weather is highly variable, so be prepared for thunderstorms or even rain.


There is NO RV or car camping available at Copper Mountain Resort the weekend of the event. However, there are several campsites near Frisco, and Lake Dillon, CO just a few miles down the road from the resort.
